Mae Bra by Fantasie
Goodbye Fauve! If youve been paying attention this past year, youll have seen the sad news that Fauve has closed their doors. This brand had a loyal following of full bust fans, so their closing was heartbreaking news. While now is a great time to snap up any leftover Fauve bras from various lingerie boutiques, this is also a great time to branch out and try and find some new favorites. If you love the European look and feel of Fauve, here are some other brands and bras to try out this year. As always, just click on the picture to find out more about the brand.
Star Lift Fuller Figure Bra by Dita Von Teese
Full bust bras have come a long way since the days of Fauve, when they were really the only elegant and European-influenced bras available for full busted women. We can thank Fauve for encouraging other brands to step it up and create beautiful lingerie and even more thankfully, one of those brands has been Dita Von Teese. This Star Lift bra is elegance personified.
Amelia Bra by Bosom Galore
Bosom Galore is a new brand, but one that already seems to be channeling classic European details and traditional colors. Theyre also one of the few brands offering 26 bands, which makes them a standout. This gorgeous silk Amelia bra would make a lovely bridal set (or a just because set). Keep in mind that these bras are on pre-order for special prices if you want to splurge, now is a great time to do so.
Ivana Bra by Fantasie
Fauve has said that theyll be reincorporating some of their classic styles into both the Fantasie and Wacoal offerings, so its no surprise that the spring offerings from Fantasie look at bit more like Fauve this spring. This Ivana bra has a similar look and feel to classic Fauve offerings, although it has more coverage than some classic Fauve styles.
Carmen Longline Bra by Curvy Kate
Sadly, there arent any brands making truly elegant, high-end, full bust longline bras yet. Some brands are promising them after they launch, but the market now really belongs to Curvy Kate and Elomi. Comexim has started to offer them as well, but none of the styles has really impressed me in photos. In the meantime, if youre desperate for a beautiful longline bra, try this embroidered version by Curvy Kate. The fit is great, the profile is great and it makes a truly stunning set.
Mae Bra by Fantasie
This is another coming soon offering by Fantasie that reminds me of classic Fauve bras. I love the gold and white colorway, the classic cut and the European-style pattern. If youre missing the Fauve look, this is a great bra to start with.
Divine Set by Pour Moi
This Divine Set reminds me of several older Fauve offerings, although with a much easier price tag. I also love the colors used here, as we dont see enough brown lingerie on the market. This set is elegant and budget-friendly!
Will you miss Fauve? Which of their bras did you love the most? Do any of these grab you as substitutes?
